We are a family-owned business supplying fresh and prepared fruits and vegetables to hotels, restaurants, events, contract caterers, bars, pubs, and schools. The business started in July 2016 from humble beginnings with a solitary hire van, brothers Nick and Joe, and a driver.

OPPORTUNITIES
JUNIOR BUYER
We’re looking for a Junior Buyer to join the Smith & Brock buying team of 6 people over 3 locations.
Smith & Brock is a fast-growing fresh food business. Established in 2016, we are proud to be family owned and run. We supply 5 -star hotels, restaurants and event caterers with the best seasonal fresh produce. Based in Deptford, you’ll be working at our head office.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with our suppliers to organise orders and problem solving when things go wrong!
- Work closely with our sales & operations teams to ensure that we have the right stock in the right place at the right time.
- Speak with suppliers & our commercial department to set up new stock lines.
- Liaise with our sister businesses (freshly prepared produce and our sourcing business in Paris) to ensure that interco. orders are placed & processed
- Investigate stock discrepancies with our warehouse and commercial teams
- Help to ensure that waste and stock outs are minimised
Requirements
- Detail orientated and organised
- Purchasing experience (B2B preferable)
- Excellent IT skills (able to learn new systems quickly)
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player and work well independently
Employment: Full Time (5am start, available to work every other Saturday)

Salary: £30-35k per annum, dependent on experience

VAN / TRUCK DRIVERS
We are looking for experienced drivers for vans (3.5 t) / trucks (7.5t) to join our team delivering fresh produce in London. This role requires punctuality, a good work ethic, a friendly manner, and a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities
- Multi-drop deliveries and collection of fresh produce across London
- Establish a friendly rapport with customers
Requirements
- Physically fit (able to lift)
- Must be over 21
- Good verbal English
- Reliable & hard working
- Posses a UK driving licence
Employment: Full time
- Different shifts available – 11pm, 12am, 3am, 4am & 5am
- 6 days per week, 9-hour shift with 1 hour break
- Paid rest day every other week on Saturday
- Overtime paid at 1.5x

- Manage and rotate stock

- Different shifts available – 7am, 8am, 3pm, 6pm, 8pm
- 6 days per week, 9-hour shift with 1 hour break

We are looking for experienced electric courier bike riders to join our team delivering our second deliveries of fresh produce in London. This role requires punctuality, good work ethic, friendly manner, and a can-do attitude.

- Has a good knowledge of London bike routes for delivery

CUSTOMER SERVICE ADVISOR
We’re looking for a full-time Customer Service Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building rapport with our customers and providing service and support. This role requires excellent telephone manners, great attention to detail, and a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities
- Handle customer orders, issues, and complaints
- Work with various teams to ensure the smooth running of the daily ordering process.
- Identify and resolve problems to prevent any escalation
- Promote seasonal products to customers where relevant
Requirements
- Possess similar experience in a previous role
- Excellent IT skills (ability to learn new systems quickly)
- Able to work in a fast-pace environment
- Team player and also works well independently
- Happy working shift patterns that cover 7 days a week
