Sometimes referred to as the Black Mission or by its original Spanish name, De la Reina, it is a highly valued fruit with a rich, honey-sweet, strawberry-pink interior and dark mahogany exterior.

The Spanish season always has a little gap in production which is caused by the fruit from the first flower running out and the main crop not starting.
Fortunately, we have the Noire de Caromb from Provence to fill this gap. This variety is far more like the fruit we will see in September, with a dark slightly fragile skin and good flavour.
